I had version 1.19.3 installed with Installer v. 7.2. But thanks to your hint, I installed it *again*, and now fix_permissions worked! No idea why, maybe busybox did not have root rights before being installed again?
Now fix_permissions claims to have fixed heaps of stuff, but when I run it a second time (immediately, without leaving the shell) it claims *again* to fix lots of permissions. Running it after reboot makes it again list an impressive amount of fixes. Very odd.
