If they're still stocking Kindles in the store, and last I saw this weekend they were, then maybe it's more of a problem with shipping on-line orders from Amazon.

Could be they're finding it hard to be middle-man between the customer and Amazon's orders, especially if a delivery goes missing. And I'm not sure they'd be getting a lot of Kindle orders on the Target site, when it's just too easy to go to Amazon and order straight from them.

As for the physical stores, our local ones still have plenty of Kindles, and fewer in stock of the others. They've had one white and one black Sony T-1, and a few boxes of the others, but I don't think they've restocked those in a while. They've also moved all the eReaders from the Apple/Ipad isle and put in some speakers. The ereaders have been moved to the 'electronic storage' isle, with the storage cards, portable hard drives and flash cards.

To me it looks like they're just going to drop the whole ereader line, and stick with the Apple devices. They may be selling better, or they get a better cut.
