Sadly, a disappointment for me. The author spent a lot of time setting us up in her alternate world but the ending was anti-climatic. Very much so. Perhaps, this was necessary to introduce the sequels. Still it seems the reader spends a lot of time waiting for things to happen. Several things didn't make sense which I won't mention to avoid spoiling the book for others. I liked the Roman names and some of the interaction between human and dragon. Writing was precise. Rated C- [2 stars].
Also, I thought there would be more historical info regarding Napoleon and Wellington.
Unsure of next read.
