Very much welcome... ah! *g* And in order not to be sued by someone finding loopholes:
If you work hard enough, I think you may manage to create a similar effect with E-Ink by following below (evil) instructions:
- put on a nice looking picture in shutdown mode
- leave the device for a very long time period (days? weeks? months? no clue... *g*) out in plain sunshine and allow the sun to bleach the e-ink particles
If the electronic parts of your device don't break due to overheating, you may possibly see the difference in contrast whenever your bleached particles are used to display black pixels.
After this: enjoy your 'burned in' picture (did I mention you should pick a cool one above?).
Disclaimer: I'm not sure your warranty survives this procedure, either - but you may certainly ask Booxtor .
Cheers

!
P.S.: I don't think that this procedure has yet been patented to watermark content displayed on the M92. Feel free to file a patent request, I'm not planning on capitalizing on above idea :P

(Sorry - I'm in a strange mood today - last hours of thesis writing...

)
P.P.S.: If you wonder what such a patent might be used for: evidently copy protection! Burn a unique pattern into E-Ink screens, and you may not only reduce the quality of 'analog' copies, but also identify the device used.
(OK - enough now... tsk...

)
