Philipp Galen, eigentlich Ernst Philipp Karl Lange (21. Dezember 1813 in Potsdam ─ 18. Februar 1899 ebd.) war ein deutscher Schriftsteller und Arzt. Sein Pseudonym entstand, als sein Roman „Der Inselkönig“ ohne Autorisierung und ohne sein Wissen unter dem Namen Galen (ein Spiel mit den Buchstaben seines Namens) erschien; fortan behielt er diesen Namen als Schriftsteller bei.
