I have progress bars on my blog (which maybe I'll add to my sig, one day), including one which counts the days, so I can easily see if I'm ahead or behind. The bars themselves are CSS (with javascript for the dates), so wouldn't work here.
At the moment, I'm also trying to read a couple of unpublished manuscripts - one of them by me - which I guess I shouldn't count.
