Are there any concerns about screen burns with e-ink (e.g. like plasmas)?

Hi CJY.

No - there's no need to worry about 'burns' with E-Ink.
Have a look at the Wiki on how the technology works (there's an explanation).

The 'burns' you're referring to are the result of uneven wear (or attrition? fatigue? Not sure what's the right term here, sorry ) of luminous substances.
Consider old CRTs: electrones are shot onto a screen covered in phosphor... the phosphor wears off over the years... if you have a lot of dynamics in the displayed image, the wear is even over the surface, and you'll likely won't notice it... if however, you display the same picture for a long time, you can see a difference in wear on the phosphor.

In E-Ink, you're merely shifting the position of particles... so...

Cheers!
