People use "kobo" to refer to whatever device they read on, unless they need to differentiate on places like MR. I'm betting that is true of run-of-the-mill kindle owners as well.

I generally type out the full name on 1st reference, e.g., Kobo Touch, creating context for whatever abbreviation I may later choose to use in the same post. On the Kobo board, KT means one thing, on the Kindle board, something else.
