Just who IS this "we" who wants "enhanced" books. I remember the multimedia hype of the 1990s when people were claiming that we would be choosing the endings of our movies. "Clue" did it for a gimmick, but really, nobody wanted it. People want to be told a story.

People can have an interactive book with video and sound. It's called a movie. If people really wanted interactive books, books would have faded out with the invention of the motion picture.

There is NOTHING dead about text.
