Hmm, that's weird. Can you double check the path to calibredb and make sure it's correct? It's not a path to the database file but to the calibredb executable. Also, try it on a very simple web page that only has english characters. Can you see if the file is being created in your output directory? If so then it's an issue adding to the db and not creating the file.

I'm going to be gone all day but will check back when I get in tonight.

I just had an idea on how to get debugging output, I'll try to add that feature tomorrow along with another requested feature tomorrow and see if that helps any.
