Not sure about that.
Phones are at core utilitarian; you carry one for communications first and foremost. Amazon already gets a lot of traffic off eveybody else's phones so the question comes down to the *incremental* gains the branded phone might bring.
FIRE works as a reputable low-to-mid price entry, slotted below the premium android tablets and the iPads into a niche that was wide open and begging for somebody to jump in.
But phones?
Apple is already mining the high-end; Android and Nokia have saturated the low-end. Where is the "Spark" going to fit in?
