The iSilox channels here are created from pda-friendly urls. If you try to convert a standard Web page full of graphics and banners and such, you will indeed get a bloated iSilo file.

If you can locate the mobile-, text-, or pda-friendly version of a Web site/page, you can successfully create an iSilo file that's smallish (even these can get very large if you set the link depth high to catch everything within a site!). Most pda-friendly pages, especially news-related sites, are controlled and limited on how far they link, thus they are smallish.

You cannot determine the url of an AvantGo-synced site from within AvantGo...it takes some detective work. Read this thread:

Having said that, you can, somewhat successfully, capture regular Web pages/sites by using the exclude/include filter in iSiloX, but it gets kinda hairy and complex to do so!
