I just came back to the UK from a few days in Greece. I was able to find a wireless hotspot to do an online check in for the return trip (using a laptop) but could not find any way of printing the boarding pass. After some thought I transferred the PDF from the laptop onto the Kindle - this worked brilliantly, the scanner at the baggage drop off read the 2D barcode with no problem at all.

Much cheaper than using a 3G phone!
