It is perhaps worth noting that the mid 19th century ideas about which books in the Hippocratic "corpus" were and were not written by Hippocrates himself have been pretty much "de-bunked" by modern techniques of textual analysis. It's generally admitted today that perhaps none of the works we have were written by him or, if they were, we haven't a clue which ones. All we can say is that the books originated from the Hippocratic "school" between about the 4th and 2nd centuries.
