Compreg, yes. Very hard to distingush from plastic. Dymondwood mimics non-engineered wood much better (as long as the colour scheme isn't too outlandish

). Many "wood" pens are made from Dymondwood. The thinner the pen shell, the more chances are that it is made from Dymondwood.
