"I Am David."

Sadly not on e, but I've just finished this little book by Ann Holm, published in 1963.
I recommend it anyway, despite its dead tree content.
Ir garnered a fistfull of awards, and theoretically a "Young Adult" read, it covers a boy's escape from a concentration camp in Bulgaria, and his subsequent trek across Europe to Denmark.
No car chases, shoot-outs, sex & only low-level violence, a very easy and enjoyable read. I surprised myself.
Kind of charming, I suppose, but no saccharin either.
