I'm what you could call an "old fart". I didn't even have a mobile phone until a delicate family situation made advisable to be easily located at all times. Even then I chose the most simple device, just SMS and voice.

That was until I saw a Kindle. I was really impressed with this e-ink technology and the availability of tons of material thanks to great software like Calibre. I've ordered a Kindle Touch which is expected to arrive next week (EU release date is later than US).

Currently toying with TtH and Sigil to rescue some old LaTeX docs I have, hope to learn a lot in this forums.
