Why would an e-reader need to have 3D? I'm just not seeing the application.

Oh, wait.... Geez, I can be slow sometimes!

For movies, I like 3D on the big screen so long as it isn't used to replace good storytelling. 3D should allow the viewer to "get lost in" the movie world. The first 3D film I ever saw was an IMAX film about the ocean--it was fantastic having nearly all of my senses trying to tell me that I was underwater with the fish. But on a smaller screen, it just feels gimmicky.
