Kobo $10 off for new member ??? - as of April 20, 2012

I gave my husband one of my old e-readers, and to start populating it (we read pretty different stuff), he signed up a couple of days ago for a new Kobo account. Lo and behold, in his e-mail this morning was a one-time code for $10 off - with the usual agency restrictions, but that's still pretty good.

I suspected they had meant 10% off, especially since the code format looked like other %-off Kobo codes, so I was very surprised when it actually worked for him - he got a $10.09 book for $0.09. Of course, I immediately tried it on my account too, and it didn't work for me, so it appears it was either linked to the new account, or an absolute one-time use code - not one time per person.

I'm going to post this anyway - if someone out there has been debating about whether to sign up for a new Kobo account, now might be the time, since you might get the same deal. I don't remember what I got when I signed up (long time ago), but I'm pretty sure it was just a 20% or 30% off code.

And, BTW, the code was welcome10us, and it said it would be good through April 22, if anyone else wants to try - you might be luckier than I.
