I stopped watching tv when it went digital here around a year ago. I haven't got an outside aerial, so a digibox wasn't worth the hassle. I'd been watching less tv since getting internet connected (via cable, but only for internet). Anything I really want to watch can be found on the station's internet site, or, for the ancient stuff, on youtube.
But there're far more interesting things to do on the internet than watching tv: playing online word games, joining and participating in forums, making and uploading videos, plus all the things I do off line.
I think the most tiresome aspect of the internet is checking email.
As far as my ereader is concerned, where would I get books for it if I didn't have the internet.
I pay for mine monthly via direct debit and have never had problems with the company. PM me for the name, I'm sure it's against forum rules to name them.
