Reading: Spin. Another Tor book. Seems OK, so far. It has kids, but not annoying know-it-all types, and I suspect it is going to quickly move to their adulthood, so I'll keep reading.[/QUOTE]

Spin is turning out to be really good.
I'm 1/3 way thru, about page 500 of 1500 pages. It is hard to put down to eat or work or sleep. So far, I highly recommend it to anyone who is tired of fantasy. It is hard scifi, with characters that make me want to care about them, facing a crisis of unimaginable scope in very human ways. I'm anxious to find out what the other 2/3 of the book brings!
