Prior to 1955 I only purchased Book of the Month Club print books. After 1990 I only purchased Microsoft Reader eBooks. Then I switched in 2007 to Sony eBooks (epub) only. Now I only buy Amazon eBooks. One just has to adjust to the reality of the ever changing eBook market.

I have 2500+ Amazon books in my Archive. I do buy amazon books. You know this as I already mention it in this thread earlier. Buying Amazon books isn't going to solve Pdoc bug problem. I have Prime as well. No interests in Prime's library they have so I get the cheaper prime without it. I have my own local library to get free books from that's what I use Mantano for.
One does not need to adjust to anything. You can read any format epub, mobi, lit, pdf...etc You just need Calibre or Mobipocket Creator and if you have DRM then the special tools.
There is no walled garden. It doesn't exist in my world.
