Since I was a bit to eager by already providing a tarball for release tag 2012.04 - a few bug fixes came in last-minute - I now announce release 2012.04.1.

The name "kindlepdfviewer" now seems anachronistic - it reads a big bundle of file types now. It was PDF, XPS, CBZ and DJVU already. Now, using CREngine, there is also .fb2, .epub, .txt, .chm, .rtf and .html (or .htm) support. It's usable, though in an early stage: you can only configure font size and line spacing for now (or you would have to edit the CSS).

Upgrading is just like installing: refer to the OP on how to do that.

Changes since release 2012.03:
  • InfoMessage dialog on slow operations (search, open file, etc)
  • New launchpad shortcut `Shift`+`P`+`K` which kills Amazon framework before start to free up more memory (somewhat important on DXG with scanned pdfs). `Shift`+`P`+`L` will open last document without framework. `Shift`+`P`+`R` will restart the framework (try this if you have your kindle frozen).
  • Menu in reading mode
  • Fix for buggy rotation of pages that specify their own rotation (PDF)
  • XPS and basic CBZ support (no CBR yet, sorry)
  • EPUB, TXT, RTF, HTML, FB2, CHM support (Thanks to CREngine)
  • Input passwords for PDFs
  • Help page (press "H")
  • Cursor support in inputbox
  • Bug fix in menus
  • Shortcut for manual full screen refresh, `Shift`+`R`.
  • Configurable entry in `.reader.kpdfview.lua` for partial refresh counts.
  • Improved memory usage control
  • Text highlight in DjVu
  • Text highlight in Pdf
  • Bug fix in screen saver
  • Bug fix in filechooser
  • Show overlap when moving with pan_by_page

Big thanks again to all contributors. A full ebook reader suite in 5 months only on spare time by a handful of developers - that's impressive. Never thought this would happen. And I find to use it regularly now.
