The wholesale/agency number-comparisons they used were largely apples/oranges. I wasn't sure if it was sloppiness on the part of the reporter or a lame attempt at moving the pea. I didn't care enough to consider it carefully.
I don't really care how they price them. There are enough public domain five-star books out there that I can read until I'm 100 years dead and I'll still not come close to running out. In the rare event that a publisher entices me to actually
buy a book, he deserves as much as I'm willing to pay; he must surely have been a marketing genius!
