Don't own a Nook
If you can't read e-mail on your device, then how would you get a book that was emailed?

If you have a WEB browser (on the Nook), then you can use the Calibre Content Server (after you set it running. Preferences: Sharing...)

AFAIK You can easily side load via the USB cable
