Ah, that is a different complaint entirely. It is a restriction that limits the choice of apps, some DRM schemes more than others. Of course the format of the file also limits you choice of apps. However, most apps are free so having a few extra ones is not too limiting on a device. It can sometimes be frustrating remember which app contains the books you want to read. I find that bothersome on my iPad even without DRM issues. This is because I can't really share eBooks between apps even when they are the same format. I guess I need an eBook manager app that holds all the books and could fire off the appropriate app for the book.
