OK. Smashwords editions, despite updates from originals, still have font changes every paragraph (wtf? really? why?). At least the AZW doesn't do that.

OTOH - the EPUB is 615K and the SW Mobi 1.6M, so smaller than the Kindle version (and the EPUB has a properly set cover). I think I'll start with the K edition and font strip (but need to leave in italics, which seems to be the only font change worth keeping) ... someday ... when I feel like reading the series...
