Hmmm. A lithium battery, such as the Kindle uses, has a typical lifetime of perhaps 5-7 years. The clock starts ticking when the battery is first charged, and cannot be stopped.

Can you explain why you believe that a typical Kindle owner is likely to die in 5-7 years?
