Yes, it's Spring now. Unfortunately, Spring is the shortest season we get. By 3pm I had my jacket off and was sweating profusely. I really should have cleaned up my veranda, as all the tulips I planted are now open and showing their colors too. I bought a flat of 40 pre-planted bulbs of assorted colors, and squeezed them together to plant outside the kitchen door. The colors are wonderful but the veranda looks a mess!

The Cherry blossoms will only last another few days, although there are some late-blooming varieties that haven't opened up yet. But the streets are all turning pink with the fallen petals, and older Japanese folks are waxing poetic about the transitory nature of life... I wish it could be Spring forever!
