Excellent suggestion! Apprentice Alf describes plugins for Calibre, which work like a charm for converting your ".pdb" ebooks into EPUB format. One caveat, I forget whether he goes into detail about this: the "pdb" plugin must be configured with your name and credit card info that is attached to the relevant book. Once this is done, it takes a matter of seconds to have a lovely EPUB book that you can read in ANY app of your choice.
What completely offends me about DRM, is that when I purchased a paper book, i could read it anywhere, any place that I liked. If for eg., I bought said book at Borders, and they required that I only read it at home, in a specific room in my house, I would obviously have chosen another Store! It's simply ludicrous/seriously insulting to the public restricting their choices this way, when they have paid good money for a Title.
