Which kindle for bible reading?

Hi all, I'm new to mobileread and this is my first posting.

I'm thinking of getting an ebook reader to read the Bible. I think it's an ideal device as Bibles can be quite heavy to lug around or read on the bed for that matter! I've done some research on the different models and now I'm feeling torn between them.

I've tried a friend's Kindle 3 and I like the comparatively retro looks and I'm fine with the navigation, which didn't take me too long to figure out. I'm also thinking of the Kindle Touch though it has a cheaper look (it's probably just me) and doesn't seem to support landscape mode. I've read reviews of people preferring the tactile buttons on the Kindle 3 when it comes to paging up or down. Another advantage of the Kindle 3 which I read about is that it is taller, hence you have more space to hold the book and turn the pages, without having to change your hand positions.

So what do you all think? Are there any significant improvements of the Touch over the keyboard version? P.s: Are the rubberised backs made of the same material, as I have an aversion for mildly tacky rubber materials. TIA.
