Because it's there physically, which allows me to access it easily, and display it, and loan it to others.

Also, because I read the book on my Palm Pilot, and when my last Palm devices die, that particular electronic version will be unreadable on my Nook. Plus, a Palm screen is not nearly as readable as a printed book.

I could download it in ePub format and keep it on my Nook, but in practice I think I'd rather not try to keep hundreds or thousands of books on the Nook, just because of the difficulty of sorting through them all to find what I want.

I am more and more drawn to reading on the Nook versus print, however. The Nook STR is as readable, it's easier to turn pages, and it never loses its place.
