Sounds great, may I come along?
Husband and I have never been to Bretagne, but you can be sure I'll look into it now. When you say "remote," is it like Santiago de Compostela remote? That's a part of Spain we have never been able to work into an itinerary. We are a couple of Southern Baptists, but we hope to eventually see all of the medieval pilgrimage sites. I get a coin or medal from each one, just like in the olden days, as a souvenir. So some day, I plan on taking the easiest transport to Santiago de Compostela and studying it. (Not going on my knees the traditional way, seeing as how we are just tourists!)
We enjoy Barcelona, especially the food. However, our absolutely favorite town in Spain is Cordoba. Gotta love that hot southern sun and sleepy "old town" feel of the place.
Have fun and enjoy your vacation!
