I'm reading Learning to Swim by Sara Henry per recommendation of booksonthenightstand. I guess it's sort of a romance Mainly mystery. I'm enjoying it but the prose is pretty plain.

I also enjoyed the Expats by Chris Pavone. Kind of a soft spy thriller slash soft romance.

I like Johnathan Tropper. You could call that romance for guys, or guy lit.

Now what I don't like is something like Reacher (which I like for the action) where the author throws in an unconvincing romance for some sex (and to assure us loner Reacher isn't gay I suppose). It feels dry and perfunctory.

Thanks for the recs. I'll check some out if my library has them.
