I would argue that Windows, Mac, and Linux (and even iOS and Android) have more in common with each other than things that make them different. They're mostly all Intel (or AMD)-based digital computers with graphical user interfaces that employ icon and window metaphors, and are produced by publicly-held multinational corporations whose primary responsibility is to produce a return on investment for their shareholders (except for Linux, which is open-source).
I have a hard time feeling religious fervor for any of them.
