It would make sense to me to use the rest room before boarding the plane, so this shouldn't be a problem at all.

You speed, which actually can kill people, but you are against people using their ereaders during take-off and landing, which caused no problems so far, and according to anyone who has a basic concept of how RF signals interact with electronics will never cause problems.
