Yes, the Archive at Amazon. It makes absolutely no difference how many items you have on the Kindle itself (or even that they are bloating it up with five files per book). A K3 that has been stripped of all books will do the same (I have two, personally, so clean one off now and then, plus four others on the account - they all have this problem of rebooting if wifi is on; it occurs at the very end of the sync, which I suspect is when it updates it's archive listing).
I've given up on collections, too, and just use tags in Calibre.
And, btw, I have all my Kindles set to for No Sync - that is just bookmarks, doesn't control it trying to build a list of what is in your archive....
