The only logical way to reset the meter is to run the battery down as much as you possibly can before a fresh charge basicly just keep using it and ignoring the meter altogether, or wait for a firmware update which seems to be the source of these problems.

Very important to have the T1 at a full charge and ideally also plugged in while doing a firmware update which seems to change the batterystats.bin to a 100% charged one (it really shouldn't do this and that is what is messing peoples accuracy up).
