I tend to agree that philosophically Apple is not my sort of company. When I was younger I felt much more strongly about that.
OTOH the new iPad is simply the best tablet on the market for what I want to do. It may not be the best for others, but it is for me.
So I bought it. I'm not buying the company, I'm buying the device.

I'd gone at least 10 years without any God salesmen calling, then had Jevohah's Witnesses and Mormons in the same day! I guess they didn't think the no-cold-calling signs applied to what they were selling.
