Hi

First of all, apologies If I am posting this in the wrong thread or it has already been answered somewhere else - I have spent 2 hours searching and still stuck.

I am a complete newbie and have very little experience so all answers as simple as can be please

So I acquired a cd of many ebooks and I loaded them into calibre to put on my kindle.

I have found that most of the ones in mobi format cut the paragraphs up in weird spaces and often have duplicate paragraphs of text - this is a frequent problem and occurs all the way through the ebook.

for example: (spacing and breaks exactly as on file)

She stood tall in the dock, her hands resting lightly on the polished surface of the bar that separated her from her accusers. Her eyes swept over the audience. The rough men and women who packed the courtroom were obviously enjoying the proceedings immensely.

Is there any way for me to fix this? All help gratefully received. Thanks!
