Yes, that pretty much describes my PRS-505. Using a bit of iron, I can tell exactly where the magnets are inside the device's body. The leather cover doesn't have any magnets in it, just bits of steel to stick to the magnets in the device.

Oh, and I do like my T1, except for the fact that I would have to root it to add other dictionaries. Compared to my PocketBook, that's a right pain in the ass.
