Onyx agreeing M90 is faulty

Hi All,

After 6 months of continuous emails back and forth from the Onyx help desk who were unable to help with any of the issues I had with my M90's, I spoke with the supplier in the USA and agreed to return the M90's to them for a refund. Even though they have agreed to a refund they are only willing to refund the current price of the M90's $299 not the price I paid 6 months ago $499.

A few days ago I informed them that I had returned the two M90's and they were waiting at their local post office for them to pick up. This was their response.

“Once they're picked up, the refund will be sent. We did not achieve our feedback today without some of the best customer service around. We are grateful for your concerns. They will be addressed. If you would like, we have recently received authorization from Onyx to upgrade all returned M90s to M92s, and sent along with free 4GB SD cards for $100 USD each, with free shipping. So far all our US customers have accepted the deal and are quite happy with their purchase. Would you like to do the same? That gives you a significant discount off of the newest and fastest eBook reader from Onyx. Look online for reviews of the M92. They are all rate the device quite highly”.

Couldn’t believe they had the cheek to ask for another $100 for the next model, one would have assumed that as a manufacturer of a faulty product they would give you the newer model free of charge. And apologize for all the difficulties we have had with their product.

I emailed the supplier and informed them that I will never again purchase any Onyx products even though they know it is a faulty product they are still selling them, and have requested a total refund. Not the current price they have on their web site.

So will wait and see what they do in relation to a refund.
