The other systems were destroyed by force--which is what's happening to the "intellectual property" that lies under our common culture; it's being taken from the people who live with it and through it, and control is being assigned to corporate shareholders.
How long before copyright infringement lawyers go after "derivatives" like "I had a dream about being rescued by Spiderman and I posted it on my blog?"
