Complaints are one thing. Sales are another. Sales don't lie. Apple is crushing it. Did you read the recent dismal report on Transformer Prime sales? It may indeed be a semiconductor shortage but their sales numbers are barely a drop in the high-end tablet bucket. I think they shot themselves in the foot during the launch (yes, antennagate was embarassing too).

Like I said, and was not disproven, iPads own the high-end tablet market. Low-end tablets like the Fire are not what Apple is aiming at. Their whole strategy has been high margins (admittedly absurdly high). If they "only" end up owning 18% of the "tablet" market in a year or two then they'll be giggling all the way to the bank and still be the high-end tablet to beat.

I have high expectations for Windows 8 tablets but right now they're vaporware. And I'm nervous about battery life, something Windows mobile devices have traditionally sucked at.
