A Slice Of Life Behind Bars. Memoir

Memoirs of a heavy drinker involved in the licensed trade for over twenty five years mainly based in the North East of England and Scotland.

Alcohol consumption is discussed in depth showing all it's wart's and attributes and how it affects lives and relationships.

You will wonder if you have ever had a drink problem and will look at today's binge drinkers in a different way. Are today's youth any different to there parents or grandparents?

Those who are nostalgic for good old fashioned drinking boozers going back to the 60's/70's and 80's when pubs were full of characters will enjoy this read.

The book is full of real life characters and some celebrities. There is alot of humour, drama, sex, suicide and violence.

The relationship between publicans/villains and policemen is discussed which shows that pub life in the 80's was more like "Life on Mars" than today's antiseptic, politically correct world.

Anyone who likes or has liked a drink or anyone who has worked in the licensed trade will find this book very interesting regardless of age.

There are approx 107,000 words and most people will be able to relate to the content and not find it a difficult read.
