I'm waiting for the rumored Ubuntu tablet. And I'm waiting to see how win8 will do.
Long term predictions don't work because the market will eventually be saturated with tablets. Right now we are at the point better tablets bring new customers and cheaper tablets bring new customers (I don't mean necessarily low end tablets, but also lowering the price of older ipad models), and better smartphones pull away potential customers. We'll see who survives when the market is saturated.
