... Both are "right". There are a number of differing rendering engines and none can be considered any more correct that the others. ADE is the dominate engine. Apple's iBooks might be 2nd, but a very distant 2nd.

Designs should be done with an eye to producing decent results on all common devices and apps. Unfortunately, good proofing tools don't exist for ePub so the most practical best practice is to aim for proper display in ADE. Sigil and calibre's Ebook-Viewer are reasonable tests if you understand that they are outliers and you are only expecting non-horrible results with their rendering.
