Decades old computers I may trash. We just got rid of a bunch of Commodore stuff. But not handhelds.

And yet, knowing I almost never re-read, I delete a book as soon as I am done it. I guess we all differ in what we collect.

The last paper book technical change I can think of was the shift from sewn to perfect (glued) binding. No improvement at all - the change made the books less sturdy. So change does not have to be an improvement. We are already seeing what are, for me, non-improvement improvements to eReaders, such as color and touch screen.
