I am late to the T1 party, having waited for the clearance sales, so maybe someone has the answer to this question:

Can the T1 communicate reading positions like the 950 and the android reader app? This works something like the Kindle's Whispersync.

This was a feature added to the 950 through a subsequent firmware update.
