If these can be made ledger size (11 x 17) at a reasonable cost (say no more than twice the cost of a comparably size lcd) then I can see a great market for musicians. We attended several outdoor concerts last summer, and after watching the musicians wrestle with scores blowing about, an e-ink display would be ideal (low power, visible in sunlight.)

There are many other applications for monochrome static displays as well. Durable always beats fragile. It is all contingent on cost.
